This week my new album “Tunnelvision” for Embrace Recordings will be released. I am very exited about it an I look forward to this week full of concerts!

We’ll start on tuesdaymorning 27th oktober with a live radio performance and interview on Radio6 The program is called: ”The Beat” it start at 8.00h in the morning! Watch out,  you can win cd’s and free tickets for all of these week’s concerts in this program. Click the link to listen online, but you can also listen later, on the website of radio6.

On the “Tunnelvision” album I recorded wit producer Mark de Clive-Lowe we used a lot of drum-samples coming out of Mark’s MPC -3000.  So how to get this “electronic/programmed sound” to the stage without losing the freedom I want to have as a Jazzmusician?

The solution we chose was Ableton Live software running on a Macbook with a couple of midicontrollers played by Martin Rascher. Martin can control now which sample plays when, add effects as filters and delays, create breaks etc on stage and I still have the freedom to stretch forms and improvise, going places we didn’t know we were going!
