Mark de Clive-Lowe did a great remix of ‘Common Ground’ which appears on my Tunnelvision album featuring Ivar (in my opinion one of the best soul-singers on this site of the ocean, currently seeking for inspiration and writing songs on a roadtrip around the world) on vocals. MdCL’s remix takes the song from mid-tempo soul to the club with a groove that takes you back to classic late 90’s MAW and Ivar’s uplifting vocals.
I’m very happy to announce that it will be released this coming months  on 2 albums! On ‘Mark de Clive-Lowe presents… EP vol.1′ for the Japanese label Especial Records (on 12″ vinyl, release: 30 april 2010) and on DJ Maestro’s ‘Digestive – After Dinner Dance’ for dance4life (release 12 march 2010).

Last week I released my new CD “Tunnelvision” for Embrace Recordings. A big shout out from Rotterdam to L.A. @ Mark de Clive-Lowe, who produced the album! It was a crazy week.. We did 3 performances in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht.

We kicked of with a show in Paradiso on oktober 27th. The venue was filled with a nice crowd and was good to see so many friends there! Thanks for coming!! We got a very good review of that show in ‘de Volkskrant’.

That same morning I did a live performnance and some interviews on Radio6 in a program called ‘The Beat‘. It was a duo performance with Martin Rascher who plays samples/laptop etc in my band.

On thursday (okt 29th) we performed at Club WATT, in my hometown Rotterdam and on saturday okt 31th we performed at SJU (Utrecht).

In oktober I will release my new cd: ‘Tunnelvision‘. It’s my third release for the amsterdam based label Embrace Recordings (2 solo albums and the latest B&W album).

The kickoff of the CD-presentation tour and release party will be at Paradiso, Amstedam (27th oktober) hosted by DJ Branko. I hope you’ll all come and enjoy my new music.

Who is Rob van De Wouw?

judging from the jazzy sample, de Clive-Lowe is to van de Wouw what Marcus Miller was to Miles Davis.

I produced the album, ”Tunnelvision,” for the trumpet player, Rob van de Wouw. I got to make the jazz album that I always wanted to make.

Tunnelvision is the new album from Dutch trumpeter Rob van den Wouw produced by Mark de Clive-Lowe.

I just came back from Toscane, Italy where I spent 2 weeks enjoying the Food, country, sea and sun! Now I am completely reloaded ready for a new season with a lot of exiting things coming up!

My new cd “Tunnelvision” (produced by Mark de Clive-Lowe) will see the light. At the moment I am rearanging songs for the live gigs coming up, starting with the CD-presentation kick off in Paradiso, Amsterdam (oktober 27th). For more dates see my calender.

11th of oktober we will do a single-release of “Common Ground” featuring Ivar. Here’s a little preview snippet:

Also we recorded a new CD with the Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra. Its called: “Suite to T”. Our conductor/composer Johan Plomp wrote a suite with peaces dedicated to each induvidual member of the orchestra. We recorded it in 2 days in April in Fattoria Musica in Osnabruck, Germany.

The release will be on september 17th in De Doelen, Rotterdam. Click for more info about this concert.

My new record, ‘Tunnelvision’ will be released on okt 27th in Paradiso, Amsterdam. For this album (again released on Embrace Recordings) I worked together with producer Mark de Clive-Lowe. MdCL is one of the key musician/producers of the London Broken Beat, Nu-Jazz scene. You can take a listen to some tracks in my player here. I am also very happy with the guest-appearances of Replife, Sharlene Hector and Ivar (again after our colab on ‘Reboot Your Soul’ and some intensive touring. )
